Modest Mouse – King Rat

Much has been said about this video, conceived by Heath Ledger but left unfinished, in the preproduction phase, when the actor and director died. What else could I add? Well, a random quote from the Hamlet.

The video has been completed at The Masses, where Ledger was signed as a promo director, by co-director Daniel Auber, lead animator Norris Houk, animator Jade Taglioli and producer Sara Cline.

Terry Gilliam let Daniel Auber and Heath Ledger “work in the conference room of Peerless, his visual effects company.” Hence, “Heath decided to have the Monty Python trumpets popping down from the clouds, and” Daniel “proposed to have Terry’s face as The Sun in” the video.

King Rat is a single by the Modest Mouse, first released in 2005, then included in their 2009 EP entitled No One’s First and You’re Next.

Molto è stato detto di questo video, concepito da Heath Ledger e rimasto incompleto, in fase di preproduzione, alla morte dell’attore e regista. Cos’altro potrei aggiungere, a parte una citazione a caso dall’Amleto?

King Rat è un singolo dei Modest Mouse, già uscito nel 2005, ed ora incluso nell’EP del 2009 intitolato No One’s First and You’re Next.
